You can instantly change the look of chart elements such as the chart area, the plot area, data markers, titles in charts, gridlines, axes, tick marks, trendlines, error bars, or the walls and floor in 3-D charts by applying a predefined shape style. You can also apply different shape fills, shape outlines, and shape effects to these chart elements.
On a chart, click the chart element that you want to change, or do the following to select it from a list of chart elements:. Click a chart. On the Format tab, in the Current Selection group, click the arrow next to the Chart Elements box, and then click the chart element that you want to use. On the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click a predefined shape style or line style.
Change the shape fill, outline, or effects of chart elements
To see all available shape styles, Click the More button. You can fill a selected shape such as data markers, titles, data labels, or a legend with a solid color, gradient, picture, or texture.
You cannot use shape fill to format lines in a chart such as gridlines, axes, trendlines, or error bars. To use a different fill color, under Theme Colors or Standard Colorsclick the color that you want to use. When you point to colors that you may want to use, the selected chart element will be displayed in that color on the chart.
To remove the color from the selected chart element, click No Fill. In the Colors dialog box, specify the color that you want to use on the Standard or Custom tab, and then click OK. Custom fill colors that you create are added under Recent Colors so that you can use them again. To fill the shape with a picture, click Picture.
In the Insert Picture dialog box, click the picture that you want to use, and then click Insert. To use a gradient effect for the selected fill color, click Gradientand then under Variationsclick the gradient style that you want to use. For additional gradient styles, click More Gradientsand then in the Fill category, click the gradient options that you want to use.
To use a texture fill, click Textureand then click the texture that you want to use. You can change the color, width, and line style of lines in a chart such as gridlines, axes, trendlines, or error barsor you can create custom borders for selected shapes such as data markers, titles, data labels, or a legend.
To use a different outline color, under Theme Colors or Standard Colorsclick the color that you want to use. To remove the outline color from the selected chart element, click No Outline.This worked when all other suggestions have not — so incredibly helpful!!!! A new toolbar came up that had a button called a Color picker on it.
Clicking on the highlighter enables this color picker button and then from there I can change the color that Adobe highlights text in. This was helpful as I would not have otherwise found it. Hope this helps others! Use inbuilt highlighter yellow color in my case then click on the highlighted sentence, go to properties, where yo are able to change its color and opacity. Got any suggestions. I will really appreciate it as I traded retirement for volunteer teaching in rural Guatemala. There no help here whatsoever. This did not help. None of the instructions provided are giving me any kind of ability to change the highlighter color.
Ridiculous that Adobe has to make this so complicated. For the new vision of Adobe Reader: 1. Right click on Toolbar 2.
Select Show Property Bar 3. Select the Highlighter 4. Did not work. The color in the settings was not selected as this color. I figured it out.LINE X Ultra - Get It!

However, when I click on the Format Tab and then on shape outline, there is nothing about outlines at all. There is just the colour options and widths of the border.Creepypasta x alien reader
I have searched everywhere else and cannot find how to remove the border on the text box. I would appreciate any help. Upload a full screenshot of the page showing the version information of Word you are using. If you want lines to attach to shapes and move with them, use connectors.
Right-click the drawing and on the floating toolbar, click the Drawing Tools list and then click the Line tool or the Pencil tool.
When the Line tool is on, your pointer changes to. Click where you want to start drawing the line, hold the mouse button and move your pointer to where you want the line to end, then release the mouse button.

Aaron, the problem is that black in a custom line or file pattern is special. It takes on the line colour or fill colour assigned. In manufacturing, this subjectivity can lead to confusion and frustration between customers, suppliers, vendors, production, and management. This is why color measurement devices are important in so many industries.
By measuring colors using a spectrophotometer, you can communicate and compare spectral data for exact results. To aid in color decisions, color acceptability limits called tolerances can be set as guidelines for how much perceived color difference is acceptable. Tolerances are used to control color, ensure consistency within a production run, and to minimize lot-to-lot variability. But even when using spectral data and tolerances to quantify color, customers and suppliers still find themselves disagreeing.
Through the years, different numerical ordering systems have been developed. If customer and supplier are using different ones, the tolerance — and acceptable color — will be different. The human eye has limitations when distinguishing color differences. David MacAdam was one of the first to determine the human perceptibility limits for an entire population of colors.
The resulting diagram, plotted on the chromaticity diagram, shows elliptical zones of visual acceptability. This more closely matches human perception of color, which reduces the chance of disagreement between human observer and instrumental readings or values. This provides better agreement between visual assessment and instrumentally measured color difference. The image to the right shows a slice of these three-dimensional color models, bisected near the equator.
At the center is gray, and chroma increases while moving out in any direction. Red, with a hue angle of zero, is at the right. Moving counter-clockwise, the hues shift into oranges, then yellows, then greens, etc.
These tolerancing systems create tolerance ellipsoids in color space around the target color. The ellipsoid represents the volume of acceptance, and automatically varies in size depending on position of the color in color space to more closely represent visual color perception. As you can see, the ellipses in the orange area of color space are longer and narrower than the broad and rounder ones in the green area.

These equations allow the user to vary the overall size of the ellipse to better match what is considered acceptable. The eye generally has greater acceptance for shifts in the lightness l dimension than in the chromaticity c hue and chroma dimension. Although we have not yet devised the perfect color tolerancing system, these elliptical tolerance methods best represents how we see color differences and are recognized standards in many industries.
